Welcome to the homepage of Stichting Rechtswinkel Nijmegen-Oost. Rechtswinkel Nijmegen-Oost is a foundation dedicated to helping people who face challenges and/or problems in the legal field. Our assistance includes providing free legal advice, or a possible referral to the authority that can best help you out. In addition, we can mediate between you and the agency or the person you have difficulties with, by writing them letters or contacting them by telephone. We can help you in both Dutch and English.

Generally speaking, we help people just at our consultation hours. You can find them in the column on the right of this text. In general, we don’t answer questions by phone and e-mail, because we want to provide a personalized and specific advice to our clients. Therefore, we want to speak to our clients in person. On top of that, there are usually a lot of documents involved in legal conflicts, which you can bring to the consultation. Our office hours are freely accessible and you don’t have to make an appointment. If you visit, you might have to wait for a while, but your turn will always come during that consultation. At Rechtswinkel Nijmegen-Oost, 20 people are trying to help everyone in need the best they can. All of them work on a voluntary basis. Thus, they try to provide you with a free and sound legal advice. Our volunteers are all law students at the Faculty of Law of the Radboud University Nijmegen. Besides contributing to society, the Rechtswinkel also offers them an excellent place to get familiar with legal practice.

The Rechtswinkel is a non-profit organization. All grants and donations we receive, are used to cover expenses or will otherwise benefit the quality of our legal aid.
